You can download 0.16 Windows from the link I have posted. I don't think renaming is enough: the plug-in name is defined inside the binary. I found it odd that it seemed that I had to rename it, but that's what seemed to allow it to work. Tried it a few times and the same thing happened. I renamed and then it worked (perhaps I could have changed something in the. Interesting, when it was named resynth (the way it was in the archive), I kept getting error messages that the plug-in resynthesize could not be found. I tried the scriptol image above though and when I ripped the tree out of the left hand corner, I had this blotchy blue/white mess instead of a clean sky gradient. scm works.there is no need to remove the arguments, except for having to rename the script in the 0.16 build from "resynth.exe" to "resynthesize.exe"įWIW, I didn't need to rename resynth.exe. It's funny.I did that and now it says "Expected 13, received 11"! I guess using the 0.16 build with the fixed. (plug-in-resynthesizer 1 img layer 0 0 1 workLayerID -1 -1 0.0 0.117 ) Removed 16 500 Here's the line I changed in smart-remove.scm:
If I need to remove the 2 parameters, how would I do that? What am I looking for in the script? Thanks. Pagesperso-***.fr/fcollard/Zip/resynthesizer-0.16_w32.zip (replace '***' with 'orange'). If it is no longer available, I can provide mine: I think there is a Windows working version of 0.16 by samj.
I had issues with other scripts that called resythesizer with 11 parameters instead of 13, and I had to fix them, but never with the files from the site:īut, as I'm using resynthesizer-0.16.tar.gz and my own Windows compilation of v0.16, I have just noticed that the Windows archive is v0.13 with 11 parameters. I didn't have to edit any parameters out. I only had to download 0.16 and use the fixed version of the script. It was funny how I stumbled upon it, just after this thread was started. And that still needs to have the extra parameters edited out. To make it easier to find, the Windows 0.16 version is here.Īnd it looks like the fixed version of smart-remove is still necessary with it. I didn't bookmark it unfortunately, but it works with the Heal Selection script w/o modification (i.e., it takes 13 parameters) and seems to be much faster. You might try to find the Windows build of the 0.16 version instead. Shelly and Roy edited this topic ages ago.
Update: Just saw in the comments on the registry page that it simply has too many arguments.
The replacement version of "Heal Selection" on Gimp Portable is giving me "Error: Invalid number of arguments for plug-in-resynthesizer (expected 11 but received 13)" I gave your suggestion a try and it works. It will add a 'heal selection' menu item in 'Filter>Enhance', and resynthesizer will work properly with this wrapper.įrançois Collard (a group admin) edited this topic ages ago. This does not occur with the Linux version. This is a bug in the Windows version: Resynthesizer seems to pick its samples at the top of the image notwithstanding the settings and the position of the selection. Is there some sort of trick to getting resynthesizer to perform properly? but very bad results on every image i tried on.Įven selecting a circle around a spot in the middle of pavement at the bottom of the image puts leaves from the trees at the top of the image. It seems to work because it does provide results. Great plugin for gimp!! I add some resynthesizer images
